The City of Solana
Beach encompasses 1.7 miles of beach front bordered on the north by
Cardiff State Beach, and on the south by the City of Del Mar. The beach
front is divided into four main Beach Parks: Fletcher Cove, Tide Beach
Park, Seascape Surf, and Del Mar Shores. These beaches provide a wide
variety of recreational activities for City residents and visitors. Below
is a description of each beach park located in the City of Solana Beach.
Solana Beach is a small, upscale community tucked along the Pacific Ocean
in between Del Mar and Cardiff. Incorporated in 1986, Solana Beach is
right next door to a beautiful natural lagoon to the north and the
spectacular scenery of Rancho Santa Fe and San Dieguito County Park to the
east of the city. A quiet, relaxed atmosphere, Solana Beach is mostly a
residential community. Highly-rated schools and very safe neighborhoods
make it ideal for a family type atmosphere. Several recently expanded and
updated retail centers offer a great variety stores along with a few small
office buildings are sprinkled along the main arterials.
